Nilpotent derivation
Definition
A nilpotent derivation of a non-associative ring (i.e., a not necessarily associative ring) is a derivation of such that there exists a natural number for which is the zero map on .
We can talk of nilpotent derivations in the context of a Lie ring (in which case it is a nilpotent derivation of a Lie ring), an associative ring, or a Jordan ring.
