Direct power of a group

Definition

Let $G$ be a group and $n$ be a natural number. The $n^{th}$ direct power of $G$, denoted $G^{n}$, is defined as the external direct product of $n$ copies of $G$.

Particular cases

• $n=1$: We get $G$ itself.
• $n=2$: We get the square of $G$.
• $n=3$: We get the cube of $G$.
