Let $G$ be a group. A subnormal factor of $G$ is defined as a group of the form $H/N$ where $H$ is a subnormal subgroup of $G$ and $N$ is a normal subgroup of $H$.

A subnormal factor is a particular case of a subquotient. For subquotient, we do not require $H$ to be subnormal.
