Cyclic linear code

Definition

Let $(V,X,W)$ be a $(n,k,q)$-linear code. Then the code is cyclic if whenever $w\in W$, $\sigma .w\in W$ for any $\sigma <math>whichsimplypermutesthecoordinatescyclicallyinthebasis<math>X$.
